LA Honda World is not a violator of Civil Rights. There is a dispute between J.Jr. Drywall and the Carpenters Local 714 related only to construction on 11000 Florence Avenue - not LA Honda World Sales, Service or Parts.
We are disappointed to see the organized protest in front of our facilities with intent to disrupt access to our business. We respect their right to express concerns associated with a contractor through peaceful demonstration. Our top priority is to ensure the well-being and safety of all our employees, valued customers and citizens of our community.
We are most deeply concerned about the false accusations, unprovoked level of agitation and behavior of the demonstrators and their leaders. The demonstrators' claims do not reflect the facts of the situation and are misrepresentations of our dealership and the people who work here. Our company and Honda are committed to the community as a whole and will not support misleading information not connected to our business.
We have done our research, met with J.Jr. Drywall and found Carpenters Local 714 claims untrue and without merit. Neither LA Honda World, nor any of its employees is responsible or involved with hiring J. Jr.'s employees. That is the responsibility of J. Jr only and we understand that all labor standards are being met by him. Unfortunately, LA Honda World is being used as the backdrop theatre to assert false claims.
For over 30 years, we have proudly served Downey as dedicated members of the local and surrounding communities. Our new facility will drive growth, create more jobs and contribute valuable tax revenue to the area.
